The Council of Patriotic Canterbridgians came together in February 2008 in pursuit of the following long-term goals:To re-establish love of country and respect for the flag as the norm among Cambridge residentsTo make Cambridge a city in which anyone wearing our country’s uniform will feel welcome and appreciatedTo encourage all of our young people to seriously consider military service as an option as they enter adulthoodTo promote a better understanding of the necessity of a strong national defense, and of the threats that face our nation in the 21st CenturyTo perpetuate the memory of the true Peace-Keepers of Cambridge: those who fell in the line of duty as soldiers, sailors, pilots, policemen, and firemen
